Authentic Japanese Style, Original Donburi Flavor - First DONDONYA Store in Shanghai Opens Recently

DONDONYA, a new-concept premium Japanese restaurant run by Hong Kong Maxim's Caterer Limited,officially opened its first Shanghai store in Grand Gateway 66. Instinctif Partners held an opening ceremony for the new store with more than 60 guests and media attending the event. The new restaurant perfectly blends in modern style with traditional Japanese elements, and offers a variety of authentic Japanese delicacies, which gives guests enjoyable experience. Ms. Sisyu, the top calligraphy artist from Japan and designer of DONDONYA logo, Mr. Hitoshi Yano, Chairman of Obihiro Hageten, Mr. Rico Yip, General Manager of Grand Gateway 66, Mr. Henry Chu, General Manager of China Japanese Chained Restaurant from Maxim, and Mr. Raymond Cheung, Market Manager of East China Japanese Chained Restaurant from Maxim's Group, celebrated the grand opening of DONDONYA's first restaurant in Shanghai together with media and other distinguished guests.

 

The opening ceremony was kicked off by exciting Taiko performance and followed by a traditional sake barrel breaking ceremony, a traditional Japanese way to celebrate. All guests witnessed this exciting moment with DONDONYA as it entered Shanghai market to serve the city with the exceptional Japanese food experience. Ms. Sisyu as a friend of the brand also created a new piece of calligraphic artwork for the new restaurant. Her live calligraphy performance was strikingly beautiful in the soothing melody of pipa - a traditional Chinese instrument. The outstanding performance brought sensory experience and pushed the ceremony to its climax.

 

Instinctif Partners was in charge of the media and the event management of the whole event. We've also arranged 2 print and 2 TV interviews for Ms. Sisyu. The interview perfectly presents Sisyu's inspiration of creating the brand Logo and also displays DONDONYA's dedication to providing authentic Japanese cuisine.
